The Liar by Nora Roberts
Roberts is a blockbuster author whose books always land on the bestseller lists—and this is another title sure to go straight to the top. When Shelby Foxworth loses her husband, she discovers he was a fraud, a liar and a cheat—and he left her in major debt. Shelby has no choice but to take her young daughter and head back to her hometown in Tennessee. The Beekeeper’s Daughter by Santa Montefiore
A story of love and family taking place in England and America certainly piqued our interest. In 1930s England, Grace Hamblin is the beekeeper’s daughter on the grand estate of the Marquess and Marchioness of Penselwood. When her father dies, Grace marries Freddie, her childhood friend, even though her heart belongs to another. Forty years later, in a small coastal town in Massachusetts, Grace’s daughter Trixie falls in love with bad boy Jasper. But when Jasper is unexpectedly forced to go back to England, he asks Trixie to wait for him—much to Grace’s dismay. Now, both mother and daughter will have to figure out what their hearts truly desire.
The Dream Lover by Elizabeth Berg
We’ve heard the buzz surrounding Berg’s new book and can’t wait to read this historical fiction (our fave!) based on the Parisian life of the 19th century writer George Sand. Sand is the name Aurore Dupin gives herself when she escapes to Paris, leaving her estranged husband and lackluster marriage behind. Life in Paris is filled with dizzying adventures of love and romance, and friendships with luminaries such as Frédéric Chopin, Gustave Flaubert, Victor Hugo, and Marie Dorval. As Sand’s fame begins to rise, she must overcome scandals and heartbreak as she attempts to live life on her own terms.
